Talented Culinary Team to Launch New Restaurant and Ranch Inspired Menus

Sagebrush Golf Club is delighted to announce a fresh culinary direction for the 2024 season led by renowned BC chef, Ned Bell (as seen on Iron Chef). As culinary consultant to the acclaimed golf destination, Bell is teeing up for an elevated Sagebrush dining experience that stays true to its ranch roots. As always, Bell’s focus will be on bringing the best local flavours and ingredients to diners whether they’re breaking for a midday bite, post-round meal, or a destination dinner. 

First steps are kitting out the kitchen, firing up the grill, and fine tuning the team. Then, as the operation opens for the season, two Chef Bell proteges will take the lead on the daily execution of the experience.

2024 will be a transformative year for Sagebrush, and the addition of Ned to the team is further evidence of how committed we are to fulfilling our vision of being among the very short list of truly ‘pilgrimage-worthy’ drive to golf destinations,” says Chris Hood, Sagebrush’s General Manager. “The quality of golf has been here for years, and now – between the new facilities and Ned’s leadership – we’ll have an F&B experience to match.”

Those familiar with Sagebrush know that its setup is unique. The on-course Hideout is a one-of-a-kind mid-round respite, complete with fly fishing, a relaxed vibe, and views of birdies, eagles (and others) being made on the drivable par-4 13th hole. Then, back near the 1st tee and 18th green is the nearly complete Ranch House, a new experience for 2024 complete with full-service dining in the mornings and evenings.

“I love golf, I love the flavours of BC, and I love having the chance to create something – forgive the pun – from scratch,” shared Chef Ned. “My team and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in every detail of the culinary experience, from consulting on the kitchen design to the plateware to the menus and more. Every detail matters, and we’ll be diving deep into all of them.”

As Sagebrush continues to stake its deserved claim as Western Canada’s best publicly accessible course, Bell’s culinary prowess – and lifelong love of the game – promises to elevate the entire experience.
