The Land Does the Work
A course revealed, not built.
When Rod Whitman first walked the property, his question was, "Are we golfing, or skiing?" Three hundred and fifty acres of steep, rocky Nicola Valley ranchland — the kind of canvas most architects would have walked away from.
Whitman moved as little dirt as possible and let the land speak. The result is a links-style course in the heart of the BC interior, where firm fairways funnel the ball, greens flow with the terrain, and bunkers feel less designed than uncovered.

Why People Come Back
You don't learn Sagebrush in one round.
The course is generous at first glance but the second look is where you start working with the design. That s why we built our packages around the replay round.
stay & play packages1
Round One
The introduction
Wide fairways, large greens, choices along the ground. The course shows you every path but wont show you which one to take.
11
Round Two
The breakthrough
You start playing with the design, not against it. Position matters more than it first appeared. Angles begin to reveal themselves, and scoring opportunities follow.
111
Round Three
The reward
Total clarity on every tee. Every choice becomes deliberate—there’s a reason most guests build their stay around two or three rounds.

The Setting
The most private public golf destination.
Sagebrush sits within the largest privately owned ranch in Canada. The best house at the turn in Canada above a stocked trout pond, suites a few steps from the first tee, and the largest putting green in Canada.
When you're here, the place feels like yours. Fewer players, more elbow room, space to think.

From the golfers
"On top of its natural beauty, there's room to play golf at Sagebrush. Wide berths off the tee mitigate slope and wind, and reward thoughtful players with advantageous angles into beautifully moulded greens."
Jeff Mingay
Golf Course Architect
"Fun for everyone — the ideal in golf architecture."
"Absolutely heaven on earth. Remind yourself to stop, breathe in, and look around. It's always been a 10 out of 10 for me."
Karen T.
"The course design is absolutely spectacular and is perhaps the most unknown gem of the Great White North."
Billy Satterfield
"A top rated course they made the experience feel accessible yet still superbly high quality. The Hideout is a lovely gem."
Sarah H.
