Tucked away below the 13th tee box beside the trout pond, The Hideout has been part of Sagebrush’s DNA since day one. When Richard Zokol designed this course in 2009, he envisioned more than just 18 holes. He wanted an escape, a retreat that honored the western spirit of the Douglas Lake Ranch surrounding us.
The Hideout became exactly that: a place where you settle bets over darts, cast for trout after rounds, and linger over cocktails that rival any refined bar. Where your group gathers, laughs, and loses track of time. Some come for the infamous burgers and hand-crafted cocktails. Others for the fire pit under open skies. All stay longer than they planned.
The Discovery
You just birdied the 12th and you spot it. The rustic charm of The Hideout. Two people hollering over the trout they just caught, snapping a picture. Someone settling their round with a game of darts. And the smell of burgers on the grill making your mouth water.

The Experience
Your first round of the day is finished and you pull up to The Hideout. Your buddy owes you a drink after that round, so they order a round of Old Fashioneds while you head to the trout pond to reflect on why you tried to drive the green on 13.
People are hollering around the dartboard, watching two players go head to head in cricket with the winner one bullseye short. The rest of your buddies are sitting around an outdoor fire pit watching you try to get your first catch of the day.
